Actress and singer Hilary Duff has confessed that she decided to lose weight after her figure was criticised in a US magazine, reports DigitalSpy.Duff provoked alarm last year when she slimmed down to a US size zero [UK size four].
She admitted: "I did get skinny. When I read [headlines like] 'Duff Puff - she's gained 15 pounds', how would any normal person react?"
