Cheryl Cole was announed as the new X Factor judge after Sharon Osbourne quit (rumour had it that Sharon wanted more money). Girls Aloud singer Cheryl will earn less than HALF the amount of fellow judge Dannii Minogue for her role on The X Factor, reports Sunday Mirror.
Dannii managed to get herslef a pay-rise and will earn £600,000 for her work while Cheryl will pocket £250,000 for her part in the ITV1 series.
A production insider said: "Cheryl is thrilled to be on The X Factor and was happy with her deal - it's still a huge amount of money.

Geordie Cheryl was drafted in to replace Sharon Osbourne, 55, who quit the series after four years when she gave Simon Cowell an ultimatum: "It's Dannii or me" ...and lost.
