
The presenter, 55, was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murder and sexual assault as part of a new inquiry into the death of Stuart Lubbock at his home in 2001.
Two other men were also arrested but one was released on bail along with Barrymore.
"Michael has not been charged with any offence. He has fully co-operated with the police in their inquiries," said a spokesman for Barrymore, adding that he "categorically denies" the allegations.
