Delta Goodrem Engaged To Brian McFadden

Singer and former Neighbours actress Delta Goodrem has agreed to marry ex-Westlife singer Brian McFadden, reports Daily Mail.

The couple formally announced their engagement after reports claimed Goodrem had rejected the singer's proposal, saying she was "too young" to settle down.

However, in a statement, the two have denied the report, confirming that they are in fact planning to get married.

The statement reads: "The couple were hoping to keep the news private however they feel it is important to now confirm the exciting news."

Brian and Delta met when recording a duet together while he was still married to drug-addict Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona, with whom he has two children.

They began dating shortly after Brian's marriage to Kerry fell apart, about 4 years ago.

One disappointed hopeful told the Daily Star Sunday, "Rumours have been flying round that certain contestants who have made the live shows were always going to get through due to their celebrity connections. It surely won't harm the programme to have famous people in the audience each week cheering family and friends."

Brian Prepares To Propose

Brian McFadden is set to propose to - his singer girlfriend - Delta Goodrem during a romantic break, reports ViP.

Brian, 26, has taken Delta, 22, and both their families to Dubai. Friends say Brian will ask her parents' permission before pooping the question.

One said, "Brian and Delta just get stronger."

The couple have been together since Brian split with Kerry Katona two years ago.

Kerry Calls Brian "Evil"

Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona has called her ex-husband Brian McFadden "evil" after comments he made regarding their children.
Former Westlife member McFadden was said to that having children was like getting a dog. He also said that he only got married for the money.

Kerry exclusively told Closer magazine, "I can't believe Brian could be so callous and cruel. Our children were born out of love."

"For him to compare having children to getting a dog is just cruel and downright evil."

"I'm gutted he has dismissed it as a sham."

Brian Married Kerry For The Cash

Brian McFadden has admitted that he only married his ex Kerry Katona for money.

The former Westlife star landed a six-figure deal with Hello! when they wed in 2002.

Brian, 26, said: “It wasn’t a real wedding. We were getting married to get loads of money for it.”

He also told Reveal mag, “I was too young to understand what having kids meant. Having a child was like getting a dog.”
