Remy Sentenced To Eight Years Prison

Remy is the latest female rapper to pay a visit to the clink. 'Conceited' rapper Remy Ma has been sentenced to eight years in prison following the shooting of a woman outside a Manhattan nightclub.

The jury heard Ms Smith had shot her friend outside the Manhattan venue in July 2007 because she thought the woman had stolen $3,000 (£1,495) from her. With friends like that who needs enemies?!

Remy insists last summer's shooting was an accident; an appeal is planned.

Correction officials say they called off her weekend wedding at the Rikers Island jail after the groom — fellow rapper Papoose — showed up with a handcuff key. Remy's lawyer, Ivan Fisher, denies the key could be used to unlock handcuffs. Papoose isn't charged. Fisher says the two still plan to wed, reports AP.

Remy Ma Involved In Shooting

Remy Ma was arrested following a shooting on July 14th. According to reports, Remy had an argument with a pal which led to Remy later shooting the victim.

The ‘Conceited’ rapper reported to authorities after it was revealed that police wanted to talk to her. Apparently the row was over money that was missing from Remy’s purse.

Remy Ma appeared on the hit ‘Lean Back’ which featured other ‘Terror Squad’ members including Fat Joe.

Shawnna Leaves 3Sum!

Shawnna was interviewed on the radio and revealed that she is no longer a part of the 'female super group' 3Sum!

This leaves Remy Ma and Jacki-O as a duo. It is not known if they will continue or replace Shawnna.

Shawnna is still friends with Jacki and Remy saying, "I love Remy, I love Jacki."

Also Shawnna said will be releasing an album with Ludacris. She said she's gonna "make his [Luda's] hair grow back."

The rumors have been confirmed and the name has been decided.

Remy Reality TV Coming Soon

Billboard reports that rapper Remy Ma is putting the finishing touches on a reality show about her life.

As she reveals "They follow me around, and there are things that happen to me along the way. But nothing too extra; I still wanted to have some piece of privacy so people don't know everything."

The former Terror Squad member is in talks with a major cable network to premiere it before the end of the year.

Remy's a part of the all-female group 3Some, which rappers Shawnna and Jacki-O are also a part of. The group hope to release their debut album this year.

Remy’s sophomore solo album, PunishHer, is also due out this year.
