Salma Hayek has given birth today to a baby girl named Valentina Paloma Pinault.

"Mother and child are doing well," her publicist said in a statement.

This is Hayak's first child and the third for her fiancé, Francois-Henri Pinault, reports TMZ.

Salma Expecting A Girl?

TMZ reports that a very pregnant Salma Hayek, hit a trendy baby boutique in West Hollywood and bought $1,500 worth of pink items for a newborn.

The store closed for almost an hour as Salma shopped with her mother. A fellow shopper, who happened to be in the store before it closed, revealed that Salma was overheard saying in Spanish, "This will be perfect for her," - about a dummy.

Salma Hayek Planning Winter Wedding?

Salma Hayek is planning a secret winter wedding but she is keeping the location under wraps.

The actress and her fiance Francois-Henri Pinault have set a date for December 2007.

It is believed that the wedding date is scheduled for just after the actress gives birth to the couple's first child.

And insider tells Life & Style, "It'll be an intimate ceremony sometime during the holidays," adding that close pals Penelope Cruz and Ashley Judd may serve as bridesmaids.

Selma Announces Engagement & Pregnancy

Selma Hayek and businessman Francois-Henri Pinault have revealed that they are expecting their first child.

The actress also announced that she is engaged to Pinault, the chairman of PPR, a conglomerate which owns luxury fashion brands Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent.

Her publicist said: "Businessman, Francois-Henri Pinault, and his fiancee, Salma Hayek, are happy to announce they are expecting the arrival of their first child."
