Blackberry Curve 8300 Launch

Last night was the launch of the Blackberry Curve 8300 at Kensington Roof Gardens in London.

Celebs who attended included Corrine Bailey Rae, Will Young, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Jessie Wallace.

All Saints singers Shaznay Lewis and Melanie Blatt were also among the stars at the launch which saw Natasha Bedingfield belt out her latest hits.

Making the most of their fame 'Shipwrecked' stars Ben Lunt and Lianne Dauben were in attendance too and saw Mark Ronson appear as guest DJ.

The latest BlackBerry on the market looks slick and boasts various features including a 2 megapixel digital camera and Internet.

The celebs also sipped on drinks to go with the BlackBerry theme: Blackberry Cooler & Berry Spice.

Ellis-Bextor Praises Jordan

Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor has called Jordan [aka Katie Price] a "phenomenal businesswoman."

The 'Catch You' singer admires the way that the glamour model has managed to gain a reported £30 million fortune while coping with difficulties in life.

Jordan's husband Peter Andre is currently recovering from a suspected bout of viral meningitis. Her four-year-old son Harvey is partially blind and suffers from a growth disorder.

Ellis-Bextor told the Daily Mirror, "I think Jordan’s fantastic actually. I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for her. I think she’s a phenomenal businesswoman and there’s a sort of charm about her in the way she’s quite direct about things."

“She’s a sort of a poster girl for getting on with it, really. I get the impression she’s got a core of steel actually.”

Sophie Ellis Bextor is a fan of Lily Allen & Amy Winehouse reports DigitalSpy.
The 'Catch You' singer said: "I'm glad to see the emergence of people with a brain and personality in pop like Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse. Lily is someone I've known for a while. It's been a whirlwind for her and I sympathise over her struggling with touring on her own."

Back To Corrie
Danny Baldwin, played by Bradley Walsh, is set for a return later this year, reports DigitalSpy.
The pilot for Walsh's chat show flopped. Corrie bosses have indicated that they are keen for the 46-year-old actor to return, but no earlier than originally planned. It has been rumored that his return could only be for a few months.

Coronation Street denied that barmaid Violet Wilson will be leaving Weatherfield in the summer.

BRIT Goodie Bags

Sophie Ellis Bextor thinks that the the best thing about the BRIT Awards was the goodie bags for the presenters, reports The Sun.

She says: “This probably isn’t a very cool comment but the goodie bags were unbelievable. I got a bit obsessed beforehand — I was worried that I wouldn’t get one!”

Sophie managed to get away with two bags and liked what was inside the bags.

She says: “There was a Nintendo Wii, a little pink Gameboy, some iPod speakers . . . it was all good stuff.”

When asked if she would give away the Wii to a fan through her website, she said: “No, that’s been unpacked and set up in my front room!”
