BBC & ITV Phone-In Scandals

The BBC is to broadcast an apology after admitting a subsidiary company kept £106,000 from premium-rate phone- ins that should have gone to charity. A further £6,000 will be donated after viewers were accidentally told to ring in to vote in last year's UK Eurovision final when lines were closed.

Meanwhile ITV was fined a record £5.675m by Ofcom for abusing phone-in services in viewer competitions.

It has also been revealed that Ant and Dec won the a People's Choice prize at the British Comedy Awards in 2005, despite the fact that Catherine Tate received the most votes for her comedy The Catherine Tate Show. Ant and Dec received the People's Choice prize from Robbie Williams only after Robbie was promised the comedy duo would win. Ant and Dec have vowed to give nack the award and it is rumoured that the duo are thinking about leaving ITV.

Robbie And Becks To Play Gay Couple?

Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry revealed that he is going to introduce a gay couple to Wisteria Lane. According to reports the characters could be played by David Beckham and Robbie Williams.

Cherry said, "David and Robbie are perfect to star as the new neighbours' best friends; the gorgeous, eccentric couple flown over from Blighty [Britain].

"We haven't had that kind of wow for the wives since Jesse Metcalfe left and we want it to cause such a stir when they turn out to be together."

It is also believed that Victoria Beckham will appear in an episode of Ugly Betty.

50 Cent Planning Robbie Williams Duet

50 Cent has confirmed that he is planning to record a duet with Robbie Williams.

The rapper praised Robbie's "distinctive" voice and is currently in the early stages of planning their collaboration.

50 told The Sun, "People should look forward to hearing 50 Cent and Robbie together. He's keen to explore hip hop."

"He's got a very distinctive voice and with the right song we could work well together."

Pesci Threatens Robbie With Golf Club

Joe Pesci threatened Robbie Williams with a golf club after his driveway was blocked in by some of Robbie's friends' cars.

Williams was left shocked after the 64-year-old Oscar winning actor came storming down his driveway, with a golf club shouting "Which one of you motherf***ers blocked my drive?"

According to the Mirror, Robbie and his friends at first assumed that Pesci was joking, but then realised he was serious.

One of his friends said, "At first Rob stood there smirking when Pesci bounded over waving a club."

"But he quickly realised the seriousness of the situation and ordered his pals to move their cars. It was pretty terrifying in Goodfellas when Pesci's character flew off the handle. Imagine seeing it in real life."

"Robbie has never had any sort of dispute with his neighbours before and has now given his mates strict instructions to steer clear of Pesci's driveway."

Robbie May Reunite With Take That

Robbie Williams' mother has revealed that the singer could reunite with Take That.

Jan Williams admitted that Robbie is amazed by the success of the group's comeback.

Jan told her local newspaper, "He's thrilled at how Take That have come back. On the question of him doing something with them, I feel that will happen."

"It would be something he wanted to do. I'm thrilled out of all the negative stuff that happened in the past there's now something great happening."

Robbie left Take That in 1995 and the group split the following year.
The group - minus Robbie - reformed and launched a tour in 2006.

Paris Sends Robbie A Solid Gold Pen

Paris Hilton sent Robbie Williams a solid gold fountain pen worth £2,500 with a note asking him to write her a song, reports DailySnack.

Robbie initially thought her note was cheesy, but he then met Paris and thinks she is "witty, self-deprecating and very pretty," a source said.

Paris is currently dating Desperate Housewives actor Josh Henderson.

Rehab Clinic To Take Legal Action Against Robbie

Robbie Williams is facing a law suit from the rehab centre that treated him recently, reports DigitalSpy.

The singer angered staff at the Cottonwood de Tucson centre by declaring that the clinic was "worse than a concentration camp" after he checked out early.

A source at the clinic told the Daily Star Sunday: "We're one of the most respected rehabs in the world and what this man has said is outrageous. Board members have taken legal advice and have been told they have a defamation case against him. Everyone on staff is backing their action 100%."

Robbie checked into the centre last month after admitting that he was addicted to prescription pills.

Meanwhile, Black Eyed Peas star Fergie has revealed that Robbie Williams is "doing great" following his stint in rehab.

The singer met Robbie at a Los Angeles party last week and is certain that he will bounce back from his recent troubles.

"We've all faced our demons at some point. I feel I can relate to him. In this day and age it seems everyone is going crazy," Fergie explained.

"But Robbie is doing great. He's such a charmer. He'll come back stronger from all this. That boy knows how to pack out arenas."

Robbie Leaves Rehab

Robbie Williams has left a rehabilitation center, his spokeswoman said today, but declined to comment on reports he had left early.

Robbie has been in rehab for prescription drug addiction since February 13 - the day he celebrated his 33rd birthday.

The Sun, reported he had quit his month-long treatment at the Cottonwood de Tucson center in Arizona - described as the harshest rehab clinic in the United States - a week early.

Patients are required to share a bedroom with two others and undergo intensive group and individual therapy sessions at the £700 ($1,353)-a-night center.

The spokeswoman said in a statement: "Robbie Williams has completed his stay in Arizona and is continuing with an after-care program in Los Angeles."

Simon To Rob & Brit: Get A Grip

Simon Cowell has told Britney Spears and Robbie Williams to "get a grip" after the troubled stars checked into rehabilitation clinics last month.

The X Factor/American Idol judge recently visited a deprived nation and thinks that the problems of the "indulgent" singers were nothing in comparison to what he saw there.

He said: "This whole thing is a total indulgence. Britney and Robbie need to get a grip. I went to a deprived part of the world recently... It really opened my eyes.

"You can feel sorry for yourself over the smallest things, but then you look at the world and you think, 'I've got nothing to complain about'.

So when I hear about the Robbies and the Britneys going to into rehab, I think, 'I'll tell you what rehab is. Go to where I just went, where people are really suffering and then you'll see just how good your life is'."

Robbie In Rehab

Robbie Williams, 33, has been admitted into rehab for treatment for his dependency on prescription drugs, his spokeswoman revealed today.

His spokeswoman said: "Robbie Williams has today been admitted into a treatment centre in America for his dependency on prescription drugs. "There will be no further comment on this matter."

Robbie has entered a clinic in the US.

This is not the first time the star, who now lives in LA, has battled with drugs.

After he left Take That, he entered rehab for addiction to drink and drugs.

He recently cancelled the Asia leg of his Close Encounters world tour, citing stress and exhaustion as the reason.

Dailysnack reports that a party is being organised to celebrate Sir Elton John’s 60th birthday in March and Sir Elton himself will be performing.

The party will take place at Madison Square Garden on March 25.

The News of the World reveals that Robbie Williams has a close friendship with t Buffy The Vampire Slayer star Michelle Trachtenberg.

The 21-year-old, who played Buffy's sister Dawn Summers in the show, has been seen out with Williams, 32, for a few weeks now.

A source close to the pair said: "Robbie really likes Michelle — he especially loves her sense of humour. They're having a great time just hanging out."

The source source continued: "As we all know, Robbie doesn't have a high celebrity profile in the States despite many attempts to launch his career over there.

"So as far as Michelle is concerned, she's just spending time with a normal bloke from a place called Stoke. That's just how Rob likes it."

The pair were also snapped while shopping at Fred Segal.
