Lohan & Campbell To Guest Star On Ugly Betty

Naomi Campbell has filmed scenes for an episode of Ugly Betty. The episode centres on a charity softball game, between Elle and Mode magazine. And Elle magazine unveil Campbell as one of their big players.

Lindsay Lohan, 21, will play a schoolmate of America Ferrera's character Betty Suarez in a flashback scene for the show's season finale. Lohan has began shooting her scenes and is also expected to appear in five episodes of the next season.

Golden Globes Ceremony Scrapped

The Golden Globes ceremony has been cancelled and replaced with a news conference because of the strike by writers over royalties, reports BBC.

The winners of the US TV and film awards, regarded as second in prestige only to the Oscars, will instead be revealed in a low-key, hour-long news conference next Sunday.

Actors, including George Clooney and Keira Knightley had vowed to boycott the event in support of writers, according to reports. Without top names, networks had threatened not to screen the event.

Jorge Camara of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association said, "We are all very disappointed that our traditional awards ceremony will not take place this year and that millions of viewers worldwide will be deprived of seeing many of their favourite stars."

Meanwhile, Oscars organisers say they are confident they will be able to "do the kind of show the public expects of us" on 24 February.

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) has been on strike since November over "residuals" - royalties for work distributed online or on DVD.

The dispute has brought to a standstill the production of nearly all TV comedy and drama shows including Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy.

Repeat: Ugly Betty Season Premiere

Ugly Betty returned for a second season on Friday on Channel 4 @ 9pm.
You can catch the repeat on Sundays (if you missed it or want to watch it again for whatever reason; perhaps the eye-candy).

The repeats are on basically all day Sunday on Channel 4, 4+1, E4 and E4+1. The first repeat will be @ 12:05pm on E4 and the last @ 9:00pm on E4+1.

For those of you without digital the season premiere will be shown again on Sunday @ 2:10pm on Channel 4.

Stars Set For Ugly Betty

Marlo Thomas is the latest star to join the cast of the new series of Ugly Betty, reports Digital Spy.

She is known for her role as Rachel's mum in the hit comedy series Friends. Thomas will play a jewellery store owner, who has is attracted to Daniel Meade.

Other stars to appear on the second series of Ugly Betty include Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek; his character will have an issue about Alexis being a transsexual.

Victoria Beckham will also make an appearance when there is a wedding on the show.

Ugly Betty Star To Work With Her Ex

Vanessa Williams will be joined by her ex-husband during the second season of Ugly Betty. Former basketballer Rick Fox married Williams in 1999. He filed for divorce in August 2004 and also retired from pro-sports in the same year. It is unknown what caused the split, and they have a 7-year-old daughter.

Fox, 38, will take on the role of a bodyguard for Wilhelmina Slater - played by Williams, 44. Fox will appear on the show for at least two episodes, reports E!

When Rebecca Romijn Got Hitched

Rebecca Romijn and actor Jerry O'Connell hired a gospel choir to serenade them at their wedding ceremony in Calabasas, California ealier this month reports TMZ.com

Just over 100 guests were there to see the couple exchange their vows on 14th July, reports People. The couple's two dogs Taco and Better were also there dressed in black bow ties. Romijn, 34 - who stars in Ugly Betty - wore a Ralph Lauren gown.

The 2007 ALMA Awards were hosted by 'Desperate Housewives' star Eva Longoria but 'Ugly Betty' was the big winner - picking up four gongs including 'Outstanding Television Series'.

Ana Ortiz [Hilda Suarez] won 'Outstanding Supporting Actress' and America Ferrera picked up an award for 'Outstanding Actress' for her role as Betty Suarez.

The show also won an award for 'Outstanding Writer'.

TV star Ashley Jensen has revealed that her glamorous new image comes courtesy of big knickers.

The 37-year-old, who has gone from 'Extras' to Hollywood stardom in 'Ugly Betty', has wowed fans by stepping out in figure-hugging dresses in sharp contrast to her dowdy image of Maggie Jacobs on 'Extras'.

“I’ve not had a Hollywood makeover. If I’m looking glam its because I’ve got underwear from my chest to my thighs,” she tells Closer magazine.

“I’m not averse to a bit of grooming – I’ve always washed. But they go to tanning salons in America . They’ve got the sun, they can get it for free.”
